There are two essential things every garage out there needs; shelves and containers. There are a lot of ways you can utilize shelves. Shelves can be made out of metal or plastic and it can either be closed or open, whatever designs you would want. If your garage is leaning more on the vertical-space side rather than horizontally, then it is best if you go for a lot of great shelves.
Containers are also one of the great garage storage ideas. Some containers in the market are used specifically for screws or nails. If you use these, you do not have to worry about having to hunt for long for the perfect nail you need, because these will be keenly organized. Another great advantage of using containers is that the bugs will be out of your stuff.
If the thought of expenses is bothering you, just do not spend too much on these things. Just a few pieces of wood and several brackets can make you great shelves. Containers which are just the right size and are perfect depending on your space cost as low as $5. Just a reminder though, do not purchase these things right away. Take a look at your space first and plan out where you are going to place your organizers before you go out to shop.
